Clementine Was Right / Mystic Light Casino / Blvck Hippie [small room]
Based out of Santa Fe, Clementine Was Right revs and spikes and sways through lyric-driven, hook-smeared garage pop, harmonizing and storytelling.
The Santa Fe Reporter said: “lyric-driven boogie that shimmers with haunted grit.” The Portland Mercury said: “Intimate country-tinged garage pop.” One morning, after a show in front of a creek, someone texted: “I was drunk last night, but I meant it when I said your songs are still with me.”
We have shared bills with Pearl Charles, Sadie Dupuis (of Speedy Ortiz), Nat Baldwin (of Dirty Projectors), Peter & the Wolf, Dave Dondero, and others.
In February 2020, we are releasing our first LP, Lightning and Regret, which is about loss and tacos.
